Database Design Studio (DDS) has under gone a major
rewrite to the scripting engine and improvements to the user interface. There
is now total flexibility in configuring the scripts created by DDS-Lite, including the
ability to create sequences and triggers to implement auto-increment columns
in Oracle. We have achieved this by creating a macro language to configure
the SQL syntax and now the end user can modify these macro scripts to suit their
needs. In fact, you can now get DDS-Lite to create any script, exactly
as you like it.
We anticipate a release of DDS-Lite 2.10.0 and the long
anticpated DDS-Pro (with reverse engineering) in February 2003.
SQLConsole has also been upgraded to integrate with the new and improved product line. Our
customers will be able to upgrade DDS-Lite and SQLC as part of the maintenance
policy of Chilli Source. Pricing for DDS-Pro has not yet been finalized, but
you can now register your interest with our
sales team for release notification.

SQLConsole Service Pack 2 is now available for download.
For a full list of added features please refer to this
popup listing.
Please note that this is a patch and not a complete setup. As such it can
only be applied to the release version of SQLC and not the trial version.
Attempting to apply it to the trial version will issue an error and the
patching will fail. We encourage all registered license holders of SQLC to
download and install this patch to upgrade SQLC to version 2.00.3. You need
to login to access the service pack.

In the words of one of our customers, the new SQLC is an "enterprise-quality
tool I can use with all databases without going broke".
So if you want quality software at affordable prices, then you should
take our software for a trial run today. Not convinced? Take the SQLC

We have changed our trial policy from being a
timed trial, to a limited runs trial. After you install our trial software, you
will be able run the application(s) 20 times. Once this has expired, you will
not be able to run it again.

The eagerly awaited SQL Console (SQLC) release 2.00.0 is
now shipping! If you are an existing DDS-Lite 2 customer, you will receive a
notice in your email informing you of this new release and how to download your
free upgrade. Bundled with SQLC 2.0 is DDS-Lite 2.00.4 (we had to make a new
release because of shared dynamic link library modifications for SQLC). We are
sure that the new SQLC will more than make up for any inconvenience in having
to install this maintenance release of DDS-Lite 2. (There have been no
feature changes to DDS-Lite since 2.00.3
but you must install 2.00.4 for compatability with SQLC 2).
One of the many new features of SQLC 2.0 is the Function Editor as seen below.
The help system and the tutorial for SQLC 2.0 are written in HTML Help format.
If you are running an older version of Windows (95/98/NT) you may need to get
